skills summary

I have over 5 years of experience with both FrontPage and Dreamweaver. I have created interactive sites with Dreamweaver using behaviors, record sets, data-bindings and master-detail pages with both ASP/Access and PHP/mySQL.

I have used Photoshop to create, touch-up and optimize images for 5 years. For the last 3 years I have used Fireworks for creating navigation with Javascript and for slicing images for image-maps and optimization

I have extensive experience with Flash including the use of Flash MX Actionscript. I have used Flash to create exciting navigation panels for use with Dreamweaver templates. I have delivered CD quality music over the Web with Flash and high-quality;fast-loading mp3 files, and, while at The Music Network, I created hundreds of Flash banner ads to promote new CD releases.

My experience with Visual Studio and .NET is limited but I am learning every day and in a production environment I could be contributing to development immediately. I am very adept at solving problems and finding answers. Multitasking comes natural to me. I have the ability to hand-code complex web sites and I am very good at creating compelling content from scratch.

work experience

The Music Network 1992-2002

I was the Webmaster at The Music Network from 2000 through 2002. I was responsible for a retail site that represented our 110 Turtles Music stores. I also developed a wholesale site that serviced over 1200 wholesale accounts. The wholesale site included an extranet that allowed our customers secure access to their account information as well as allowing them to place orders anytime day or night.

I worked with our marketing department as well as the record labels to develop ideas for content which I was solely responsible for. I created original content with a digital camera and photoshop. I mined our database with Mitzview to create Excel files which I then imported into Access so that I could upload them to our server. I queried the database using ASP developed with Dreamweaver MX in order to alow our visitors to search for new releases by street date and to automatically display our top sellers by genre.

In addition to providing as much interactive content as the available technology would allow, I manually updated all the sites that I was responsible for virtually every day.

From 1992 until 2000 I was the Singles and Accessory buyer at The Music Network.
