On The Rocks

335 Upper Riverdale Rd.
Jonesboro, Ga.
Ph: (770) 907-9164
Well, Blues Cat hit the southside again Friday night, and we used our new less kinder and less gentler p.a. system to try and rock the rednecks into submission.

The plan backfired. The bigger, louder, and rowdier sound system, just seemed to make the locals more agitated, and they would not be denied. We finally gave in, not because we were intimidated, but because we really love our redneck fans.

Anyway, we ended the night with a rousing version of "Sweet Home Alabama". I must reiterate Blues Cat does not do Skynyrd. While we have great respect for Lynyrd Skynyrd, and their music, we are Blues Cat, not Southern Rock Cat.

You can hear Skynyrd in any country bar in the south. When you come to a Blues Cat show, we want you to have a special Blues Cat experience. Maybe, someday, bar drunks all over America will be demanding cheesy Blues Cat songs from any bar band that dares to play their local drinkery.

Actually, we had a great time Friday night. I bet we had more fun with "Sweet Home Alabama" than anyone. The new p.a. helped us fill this large club with music. Now, if we could just fill it with people.

This is a very cool club, so if you live on the southside, please come check it out the next time we play there.

I would like to thank Robbie from "My Brother's Band' for his support Friday night. If you get a chance to hear "My Brother's Band" DO IT!

Brewsters

3595 Canton Hwy.
Marietta, Ga.
Ph: (770)591-1291
We were back home at Brewsters on Saturday night, and we had a great time as usual. I think I had too good a time thanks to one of our friends who felt it necessary to buy us a round of shots.

We want to thank Lucy & Rob for coming out. We also want to thank Randy Dorris and his family for making the drive up to Brewsters from the southside. Randy will be playing drums with us a few times in the coming weeks, as Mark has to be out of town on business.

We love Brewsters. We love the sound, we love the food, and we especially love the staff. Check out Brewsters! We think you'll love it too.

Friday nights are the best time to come to Brewsters. It is a great place to party the work week out of your system, and don't forget to treat yourself to a great meal.

Off

Off is one of my favorite places to play. When we play Off, I can get a six-pack and plant myself in front of the TV for the night, or I can go out and hear one of my favorite bands.

The food at Off is about a 2 on the Bud Meter, but when we play Off, I can go to Brewsters and get a 10 on the Bud Meter burger if I want to.

Anyway, check back here later in the week, because there is a good chance our gig at Off will be cancelled, and we may be playing somewhere else.

Fat Matt's Rib Shack

1811 Piedmont Rd.
Atlanta,Ga.
(404) 607-1622
Ah, Sunday at Fat Matt's Rib Shack!

It just doesn't get any better. We do this gig for the pure fun of it, and fun it is. Fat Matt's is where we honed our craft, and it is our favorite place to spend Sunday evenings.

The hours are early (7pm until 10pm), so you can party Blues Cat style, and still get up and go to work on Monday.

Do I even have to mention that the ribs here are the best on the planet?

The best thing about Fat Matt's is the people. We have made more friends at Fat Matt's than any other place we have played.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at Fat Matt's Rib Shack, and party with Red White & Blues Cat!
Kinda looks like a flag,huh?
