As usual the Wild Wing Cafe was cookin Friday night. What could be
better than buckets of beer, buffalo wings, and Blues Cat? How about adding a truckload of
gorgeous women and just enough blues lovin' young studs to keep 'em happy? Well, that was
the Wild Wing Friday night, and needless to say we had a blast.
Bud was there and he puts their hamburger right up there with Brewsters at 10 on the Bud
Meter (we'll have to get him to rate the fries for a tie breaker).
The Captain showed up and put all the other dancers to shame, as usual. Whenever the
Captain's there, Jeff will buy a beer for anyone who can out dance him.

Saturday nights at Brewsters start out mellow, but by the end of the
night it's one crazy party. The mellowness ends when the Hell Cats show up on their
Harleys. These guys know how to party, and they always bring those sexy Hell Kittens with
'em.
The people in Marietta are discovering what a cool place Brewsters is, and I think that we
are going to help make it the place to party on that side of town. Every time we play
there, we make new friends, and they keep coming back.
Why don't you come out next Friday, and see for yourself? We'll be rockin', and did I
mention the all you can eat crab legs, or the 10 on the Bud Meter burgers, or the
beautiful staff?

Private Party
|
Saturday we are playing at a party for some of our best friends in
Atlanta. This is one gig that we are really looking forward to. If you check back here
next week I'll tell you all about it.
|
Other Stuff
After the gig at Brewsters on Saturday night, I headed over to the Brandy
House to see two of my best friends play. The Fiji Mariners have disbanded so Bruce
Hampton has gotten some of his friends together to play some dates around town. He has
added Barry Richman to the lineup and I strongly suggest you check out Barry's guitar
playing. Also sitting in on Saturday was Jimmy Herring from the Aquarium Rescue Unit. It
was truly a guitar fest.
The Brandy House was packed, and I give the people there a lot of credit
for hanging in there and making that club work. Bruce has become Atlanta's Jerry Garcia
(who'd've thunk it?). The place was all tie dye and whirling dervishes and God only knows
what substances were being abused. Anyway, check 'em out when you get a chance. If you
haven't been to the Brandy House, check it out too, and be sure to tell 'em Blues Cat sent
you.
Oh yeah, one other thing. I completely forgot about our contest drawing
Saturday, and I didn't bring our list of finalists. So we will try again this Friday at
Brewsters. Don't forget, if you are present and win you not only get a t-shirt, but Blues
Cat will buy you a pitcher of BEER!
