Blue Sky Tavern

We had a blast this weekend!
Here are some of the reasons Friday night at the Blue Sky Tavern was so much fun:

  • It was Dennis' Birthday ( I think he just turned 25) and he brought along a lot of family and friends to celebrate. Dana, who I believe is Dennis' sister, did a great job of singing Mustang Sally with us, and judging from the amount of balloons I heard popping, I think everyone enjoyed the party.
  • Stella sang a few songs with us, which is always a treat. She is currently singing with the band Lebo, and I think that you can catch them next week at Blue Sky.
  • Randy Dorris, who is also in Lebo, was sitting in for Mark both nights, and he was a big reason we had so much fun. Thanks again Randy!
  • If you don't believe we had a good time, we got pictures. Thanks to photographer Keith Charron.

Blue Sky Tavern

Saturday night was even better, and here's why:

  • There must have been at least 5 birthdays in the house. The only names I remember are Chris (22) and Tim (about 50). Tim's friends even bought him a pregnant stripper. I guess they're cheaper when they're pregnant. I wonder how much cheaper?
  • Anyway, the place was packed, and it stayed packed until we were done. A lot of the people there were pretty girls, and a lot of the pretty girls danced all night, and that made it even more fun.
  • About the third set we had a jam session. Some of the players included:
    • Leigh from Lebo-Guitar
    • Hal from Lebo-Bass
    • Greg-Guitar
    • Mark-Harp
    • Tim the birthday boy-Drums
  • Even though we haven't played there much, Dennis, Dorothy, Stella, Kara and the rest of the staff always make us feel like family, and we can't wait to play there again.

Fat Matt's Rib Shack

This was our last Sunday at Fat Matt's this month, and we are gonna miss it. I've said it before...The audience at Fat Matt's is the best. There are no games being played. They are there for only two reasons:

  1. To eat incredible food
  2. To listen to good music

We will be back every Sunday in January, and we hope to see you there.

Next Week

  • Tuesday Nov. 30th-Darwins

  • Friday Dec. 3rd-Brewsters
