Private Party-08/05/2000 |
|||
| We played at a party for the computer geeks
at Datafax on Saturday, and we had a blast. It was even more interesting
for me, since I am an aspiring computer geek.
It's too bad that we can't invite all of our fans when we play a private party, because we get a little looser,. and quite often we are inspired to play with more freedom and abandonment than on a normal gig (of course, no Blues Cat gig is ever completely normal). This gig was also fun because Mark played with us for the first time in about a month. This meant that we could concentrate on playing, without having to worry about what the drummer was going to do next. We would like to thank David for all the hard work (including helping us move our gear) he put in to this show. His and Dawn's rendition of the John Tesh tune was especially moving. Also, Jeanne took care of us wonderfully, and we can't thank her enough for all she did to help make the gig go smoothly. Here are some pictures: |

Fat Matt's Rib Shack-08/06/2000 |
||

||
| It was great being back at Fat Matt's, and
having Mark with us made it even more special. We will be here with
substitute drummers the next two Sundays, but it won't be quite the same
without Mark.
We were really glad to see Joe & Julie, especially since they are moving soon. Julie designed our wonderful logo, and we are forever indebted to her. We saw a lot of other familiar faces there, and we also made a lot of new friends. It was great that so many people hung with us for the whole night. We hope that everyone had as much fun as we did.
