Blue Sky Tavern-06/15/2000

We hosted the Jam session Thursday night at the Blue Sky Tavern, and it was a blast. So many good players came out that all we had to do was kick-start it, and then let the music speak for itself. I bet the Jam on Thursday nights at the Blue Sky is one of the best in Atlanta.

This is Len. He is a legend at these jam sessions.  Here Greg Smith and I try to keep Len on the planet Earth.

Greg Smith sat in for Mark on Thursday, and he did a wonderful job. Joe Roman brought his Hammond B3, and that was really a treat.

Here's Kara. She's also known as BG, and she is my favorite waitress at Blue Sky. Hal is one of the best bass players around, and I can't thank him enough for giving me a chance to sit at the bar and enjoy some great music.

Michael "Storm" is one of our favorite guitarists on the southside. Lee, from the band Lebo, is not only a killer guitar player, he is always there to keep things running smoothly at the Blue Sky.

Here's Dennis, and the pretty girl hiding behind him is his wife Dorothy. They are the reason that the Blue Sky Tavern is such a wonderful place to play. I snuck up on Dorothy and got this shot. I hope she doesn't mind, but they are the best club owners that we've ever met, and they deserve recognition.

Happy Birthday Bridgett!

Friday was Bridgett's birthday, and she is the reason we played at the Blue Sky Tavern this weekend. It was a lot of fun getting together with so many good friends, and everyone had a great time.

Here is the cake that we got for Bridgett. These girls don't even know Bridgett, but they were celebrating anyway.

Here is Mark checking out the soup before the gig on Saturday. Mike & Debbie Cowan (and Fred or Eric) drove all the way down to McDonough to see us, and we really appreciate it.

Here is the wonderful staff at the Blue Sky Tavern. I mean, like WOW! Here are some girls that we haven't met before, but that I hope we meet again.
.
We had a great time this weekend. The music was especially fun on Saturday, as I think we played as good as we ever have. Music is what it's all about, and when you can take it to the next level, and bring the audience with you, it is very special.

Thanks again to the Blue Sky Tavern, for giving us such a wonderful place to play!
