Brewsters - Friday 03/10/2000
We were back at Brewsters Friday night, and we had a great time as usual. Randy Dorris was sitting in on drums, and even though he doesn't have a Tweety Bird outfit, he is still a very good drummer.

Actually the reason we asked Randy to play drums was because sometimes he brings real pretty girls to the gig. One real pretty girl in particular, Jennifer, was supposed to be there Friday night, but I think Randy just made that up so we would let him play with us.

I'm just gonna list the cool stuff at Brewsters Friday night:

Jethro was there but he had to leave before we started. He had already surpassed his 3 beer limit.
Legs! Legs! Legs! Legs was there with her damn boyfriend, and she was looking better than ever. We are anxiously awaiting short skirt weather.
Here is a riddle: We made four new friends Friday night, but they only had two names. If you were there, I bet you know the answer to the riddle. Here's a hint: Two of our new friends was named Julie.
The Hyman Bros. aka the Live Naked Cowboys were there.
Noelle aka Lil Bit was there working her cute little butt off, as was the rest of the incredible staff at Brewsters.
Alex was there. He is the only person I've met that knows more famous people than I do.
The Flower Girls both showed up, and it is worth going to Brewsters just to see them. Tina rocks my world!

We previewed two new songs Friday night:

Hit the Ground Running by Jonny Lang
Cold Sweat by the Boneshakers

We didn't screw 'em up too bad, and they both rocked. By next week they should be tight. We like both songs, but we always welcome your feedback. So, if you want to let us know what you think, sign our Guestbook. You can also suggest songs that you would like for us to do.

We'll see you next Friday at Brewsters   Hrs: 8 until 12

Blue Sky Tavern - Saturday 03/11/2000
The Blue Sky Tavern is more of a rock n roll club than most of the places we have been playing lately, and we dig it! I don't mean that we play rock n roll there, but we like the big stage, the big sound system and the big room. Most of all we like the people there.

I'll use the list format again to tell you about Saturday night:

Angie, Terry & Randy and their friends filled up a table. They are not only Randy Dorris's family, but they, as well as Randy, have been supportive of Blues Cat since the beginning.
Stella is definitely my favorite singing waitress, and she didn't disappoint us Saturday night. She did a wonderful version of Clapton's "Before You Accuse Me". Stella is singing with Leebo, and I highly recommend that you check them out.
Kara just might be my favorite non-singing waitress (except for Thumper, of course). Her smile will melt your troubles away, and that's not her only asset.
Bridgette & Lisa were there. I hope they realize how much we appreciate them coming out to see us. They have done more than anyone to help us out on the south side, and when they are there we always have a friendly place to hang out during the breaks.
Danny sat in on blues harp for "Mean Love" and it really rocked. He is one of the few harmonica players that we enjoy jamming with.

Just for the archive I guess that I should mention that this was the night that I broke 2 bass strings. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy any strings this year. Maybe I can fix them with some duct tape.

We are back at the Blue Sky Tavern March 31st & April 1st!
