Alma Hall - 02/10/2001

We played a new club in Griffin Saturday night, and it turned out to be a really cool place. I particularly liked the sound on the stage, and from what I understand, it sounded pretty good out front as well. They are bringing some excellent music to Griffin, like Tinsley Ellis, "Fingers" Taylor, etc. Check it out if you're in the area. We'll be back down there soon.

There are more good guitar players on the southside than there are mushrooms in a Florida cow field, and most them showed up Saturday night. Needless to say we had a killer jam session. Thanks guys! Y'all were great!

We definitely want to give a special thanks to Lisa & Bridgette for turning us on to this place, and for being instrumental in convincing the management to take a chance on us (they hadn't had much luck with local bands before Blues Cat).

We haven't had a chance to review the tapes from last week at Blue Sky, but we'll keep you posted on the progress. If the tapes sound half as good as it sounded at the gig, we'll have a killer CD to share with you soon.

I don't remember the names of all the cool guitar players that jammed with us at Alma Hall, but here is a picture of a couple of them chillin' with a pretty girl after the gig:

We are taking next week off. But we will be back soon. Check the web site for when and where.
