Brewsters
|
It was good to get back to playing again after
so much time off, and Brewsters is the kind of place where we can relax
and get into the music. Some gigs are work, but both Brewsters & Fat
Matt's Rib Shack are gigs that encourage us to enjoy ourselves, knowing
that the more fun we have, the more fun everyone in the club will have.
The problem I have is that I had so much fun
this weekend that I can hardly remember Friday night at Brewsters. Here
are some of the things that I do remember:
 |
Of course the food was wonderful, as was
the staff
|
 |
I don't remember seeing Legs, except in
my dreams after the gig
|
 |
My favorite flower girl looked so good
that I almost went into cardiac arrest
|
 |
Jethro left before we started. His
little girl only allows him 3 beers a night, and he hit his quota
early
|
 |
Our Garth Brooks lookin' buddy was
there, and he got up and did some kind of wierd rap thing
|
 |
Sharon took over the stage for a while,
and rocked the house. She is on her way to California, and we are
going to miss her
|
Anyway we had a blast. Don't forget, we are at
Brewsters every Friday night (unless there is a little bit of ice), so
get your butt off the couch and come out and party with us!

O'shaunessey's
|
This was the gig with Barry Richman, I pretty
much summed it up on our front page, but I just wanted to add that as
special as this was, it was no substitute for a Blues Cat gig. We had a
great time because it was different, and Barry may be the best guitar
player in Atlanta, but when we're clickin' with Tim, Blues Cat is the
best band on the planet! If you don't believe it, come out and see
us next weekend.

Fat Matt's Rib Shack
|
We finally made it back to Fat Matt's after
two Sundays off because of the weather. We weren't disappointed as Fat
Matt's rocked all night long.
We had a couple of funky new songs to debut,
and we made it through both of them without screwing up, although Jeff
did have to read the words. (It's OK because he had a lot of words to
remember, while Tim & I only had to remember two chords).
Mike, Debbie and Fred (or Eric or Dancin'
Machine II) were there. As were Bridgett and Who (What?). Also, we met
some Bell South employees (at least for now), who are in town working
for a few months. We hope they make it to Fat Matt's a few more times
while they're here.
Don't forget...Blues Cat is at
Fat Matt's every Sunday!
